What should I expect in a class at Vicious Cycling?
Our classes are 55 minutes long and suitable for beginners right up to athletic pros! Our fun, welcoming atmosphere will make you forget you're even working out! We always encourage our riders to challenge themselves and you can easily adjust your resistance to increase or decrease the intensity for as a much of an endorphin releasing workout as you wish. Be prepared to sweat!
Why are the classes 55 minutes instead of the studio standard 45 minute classes?
If you take into account warm up and cool down time, a 45 minute class only offers about 30-35 minutes of “working time” within the class. Most studios run classes that are only 45 minutes so they can schedule classes on the hour, every hour. We are not concerned with being a class “factory” of sorts, rushing classes in and out just for a profit. What we are concerned with is the success of our riders. At Vicious Cycling, we want nothing more than to see our riders gain strength, endurance and confidence. All while crushing their own personal goals! Our fun, welcoming atmosphere will make you forget you're even working out!
Do I need special shoes?
Our bikes are SPD clip compatible and cycling shoes are recommended but are not required. Toe cages are also equipped on the pedals so it's best to wear hard-soled athletic shoes for this use.
What should I wear?
Any type of athletic clothing that you feel comfortable in is suitable. We suggest fabrics that are sweat wicking and highly recommend pants that are tight on the legs to prevent fabric from getting caught in the moving parts of the bike.
How do I reserve a bike?
Click on either "book now" or "schedule" in the navigation bar at the top of any page on our site. This will take you to our schedule where you may choose your class. Create a MINDBODY account for yourself and continue on to the purchase page. Choose your desired ride or package. If you're a first time rider your first class is ON US! Yes...FREE! From there click the reserve button and choose your class.
Ok, I've reserved a bike. Now what?
If you are a first time rider please arrive 15 minutes early to class. You will check in at the desk and one of our awesome instructors will help to make sure the bike fits you perfectly for a safe ride.
All other riders should be checked in and ready to rock 10 minutes before the scheduled class start time. If you are running late please contact the studio and we will hold your bike. Otherwise your reservation may be forfeited to a wait listed or walk in rider.
What if I need to cancel?
You can absolutely cancel! In order to avoid the loss of your paid class you must cancel your class 3 hours before your scheduled start time. Once you cancel, your paid class will be returned to your account to be used at your convenience.
What if I miss a scheduled class and don't cancel?
If you do not attend class or call ahead to cancel your paid class will be forfeited. We do not offer refunds for "no show" classes. If you are on an unlimited plan you will be assessed a fee. If you continuously miss classes you may be unable to renew your plan.
How old do I have to be to ride?
Our minimum age to ride is 13 years old and you must be at least 4'11". Those under 18 years old may not ride unless a parent or guardian signs a liability waiver for you in person.
Parents please note that music played by instructors in class may contain explicit lyrics. If you are uncomfortable with this please check in with our front desk staff so they may help you choose the right instructor for your child.
